As A Child Development Specialist, Ilene will

• Provide an accurate diagnosis that addresses the child’s development and psychological struggles in their own environment

• Observe children at school, at home, and in social situations to see how they get along with others and how they communicate

• Identify the traits, symptoms, and patterns particular to children who suffer from various developmental and psychological disorders

• Devise a therapeutic program to address the child’s needs

• Connect families with the right specialists for their child’s treatment

• Create learning modules, lessons, and activities

• Maintain an open line of communication with students and parents

• Track and monitor progress to optimize academic, therapeutic, social, and life plans

• Work with Early Intervention in preparation for school entrance

• Adhere to the IFSP (Individualized Family Service Plan) for Early Intervention

• Review the IEP and 504 Plan to ensure that the child’s needs are being met for
  school-aged children

• Collaborate with the child’s family and educators
